Topher DiMaggio Makes Cameo In Clip on Grindr Founder Joel Simkhai

It’s no surprise that Joel Simkhai, the founder and CEO of Grindr, would have some high-profile friends — who wouldn’t want to be friends with the multi-millionaire inventor of the game-changing gay hook-up app? But turns out that the entrepreneur bachelor also has some gay porn star friends, too.

In this four-minute video profile from Business Insider, Simkhai walks past none other than porn star Topher DiMaggio on his way to work out. DiMaggio gives him a very enthusiastic head-grab and kiss on the lips:

This prompts Simkhai’s workout buddy to inquire about the nature of their relationship …

… to which Simkhai sheepishly responds, “Uh … yeah …”

The timing couldn’t have been more perfect if it was scripted (not that I’m implying that it was, I swear). Meanwhile, is it just me or does it seem like you can’t film a video in WeHo without Mr. DiMaggio somehow showing up in it.)

Otherwise, the video is a pretty fascinating look at one of the gay community’s rising power players (and cements Joel Simkhai status as the most eligible gay bachelor in Los Angeles). While lots of folks may have ditched Grindr for Scruff, Tinder, Jack’d and countless others, Grind was the first. Check out the full video here:
