Rocky Reboot With Adam & Laverne
A 1975 “musical comedy horror film,” The Rocky Horror Picture Show is cult classic that was acted out in front of the screen by the kids who came of age under Presidents Ford, Carter and Reagan. New generations are about to think they discovered it. Back in October, FOX announced a small screen remake headlined by Laverne Cox as Dr. Frank-N-Furter, the role originated by Tim Curry first in the original Broadway version and then in the movie.
The Frisky brings us more casting news …
Extraordinarily cute person and great singer Adam Lambert will be filling out the cast for FOX’s live TV production of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, co-starring as Eddie, Columbia’s dead/undead, motorcycle-riding paramour. He’s been cast alongside Laverne Cox as Dr. Frank N. Furter, Victoria Justice (of Victorious) as Janet, Ryan McCartan (a stage actor) as Brad, Reeve Carney (Penny Dreadful) as Riff Raff, and Staz Nair (of being hot and the upcoming season of Game of Thrones) as Rocky.
An exact date for the fall premiere will be announced later. Until then, look out for Fox’s live broadcast of Grease, set for January 31. Also in the works, NBC is remaking Hairspray.
Don’t lose heart if this seems a long time to wait … after all, think of what we make in seven short days …
Have a sexy weekend and see you at the movies!
