HGTV Design Star’s Bondage Porn Past
Reality TV stars with porn pasts have almost become de rigueur, but this one’s shocking even for me. Superhot Michael Verdugo, a contestant on this season’s HGTV “Design Star”, has a nasty porn past doing bondage videos for Tom “Ropes” McGurk! Isn’t the show already filmed and the winner picked but not revealed to the end of the month? I think HGTV will pick this guy because he will go from porn star to reality star. The ratings will go up and he has probably already handed in his resignation at the police department. Any publicty is good publicity. The timing comes a few weeks before they announce the winner.
Coincidence? The show is more about looks and attitude than it is about design. This guy designed his house with help from others (big deal) while others have design education, experience, and own companies. I agree with Trent. “Outing” this guy is too much. Technically speaking, Michael Verdugo did NOT do porn; Jeremy Webb did. Although I’m certain there might be purient interest in connecting a reality TV personality to gay porn, I don’t think that’s an appropriate thing to do.

This blog is surfacing everywhere. This story is really starting to break nationally. I keep seeing gays speak that he is some sort of role model for the gay community. While I dont know this guy, I find him hardly a role model for the gay community. First, he LIES to the police department and hides his gay porn past. Then the department allows him to use the department’s patrol car, uniform and badge to promote himself to land a spot on the show, in hoping to start a business and new career. I highly doubt that any police department would allow any officer to use official patrol cars and uniforms to start their own business. Now what does the police department get in return? They are embarrassed with one of their officers seen bound, gagged, and fucked in some gay porno. This guy has hurt other gay officers that work in law enforcement. He fits the sterotype of what many think gay guys are… porno stars, sex freaks, and interior designers. While I have no opinion of the show he is on or if he wins or loses, but to call this guy a gay role model is insane. Every gay that wants to be a police officer is going to be extra screened and met with more suspicion now.

Oh, come on people! I can’t believe people who read this blog dare to pass judgment about outing a porn star and revealing his legal name. What’s the point of this blog to begin with? I agree with most commenters here in that if you do porn, you run the risk of public exposure at some point. Someone you know is going to see your face on the cover of a video, or the cover of a magazine like Men or Unzipped, and the proverbial cat’s going to be out of the bag.
And I don’t care how much you think your friends would “keep” your secret. They won’t.
