Gay Sex Trailer: “To The Last Man” Murderizes Gay Stars
Gay panties are in a gaywad over Raging Stallion‘s To The Last Man teaser, which features several porn stars being murdered. The teaser was leaked on Thursday and the debate over violence in the movies came fast and furious. Raging Stallion head Chris Ward responded on his blog, but given the debate over Stag Homme’s rape fantasy, Armed, it’s likely we won’t figure out how the public really feels until the sales start coming in.
While the whole things is a bit disturbing, there’s also a bit of the ladies-protesting-too much. Lucas faked his death last year and everyone erupted. Titan staged a kidnapping for Folsom Filth and neighbors called the cops. Raging Stallion can’t be SO surprised that this type of reaction was going to come. If you need us, we’ll be in the bathroom carving a backwards R on our face and claiming Ricky Sinz did it.

k… but where’s the porn?
zmeika October 24th, 2008 at 6:30 PM
If death and desired have been always mixed and no one will force people to watch To the Last Man, what’s the whole point in this argument. Maybe I’m old-fashioned but scenario is big deal in getting me hard and I will always appreciate plot (either non-sense or well articulated). Finally what about all that 70’s porn involving kidnaps and rapes. You can call it tradition, if you want.

What is next a Gay Porno movie about Necrophilia ?
George October 24th, 2008 at 7:39 PM
This is f*cking RIDICULOUS. Throats slashed, guys being lynched is NOT my idea of sexual excitement. I’m stunned to see how desperate the adult industry has become. Definitely a turn off…thumbs down!!!!!
Chuck October 24th, 2008 at 9:46 PM
Wow, it just goes to show both how far gay porn has come, and also where its going. I am happy to see the fusion of cinema and sex done so well and without coming off too garish. Kudos to the people behind this new trend.

Some scenes may be hot, but I think others take it a little far.
James October 25th, 2008 at 3:58 AM
It’s a movie right? Made up and all? And don’t you think porn hounds like me will simply set it up to watch only the sex scenes? By the way: if RJ Danvers doesn’t sleep with me I’m voting for John McCain.

Anything for a buck, eh Mr. Ward? I’m sure next years big Rraging Stallion movie will be a snuff film, those are hot too, right? Disgusting
Anonymous October 25th, 2008 at 9:17 AM
LOL, who’s that guy shooting the guy in the tub at :58??He runs like a total sissy LOL
ChicagoCub October 25th, 2008 at 9:50 AM
Who wants all that story? The only people who care about that are bored porn reviewers and the industry itself.
Consumers want hot sex scenes with hot performers that are shot well. (and half the time we can’t get that)
I don’t want to see bad acting by non-actors and it especially ruins the fantasy when you hear some of these guys speak.
Just learn how to make hot porn. I mean look at straight porn – their “gonzo” style porn is the hottest seller. Where is our “gonzo” porn. (and I don’t mean the purple muppet)
Less costume, less story – just get hot men who are into the sex and shoot it well. (We want to see their full bodies, faces and action – not all that bad editing)
Dude October 26th, 2008 at 5:54 AM
I guess it was just a matter of time before violence and sex met in gay porn. Now, let me set the stage here, gay porn directors thinks, “humm, how do we make a gay sex movie hotter, oh yeah, lets slash a few throats, shoot some people and bash someone’s head in with a rifle… that should get everyone all hot and bothered”
gesh….
scott October 26th, 2008 at 7:07 AM
looks great! i luv some context and plot in porn. makes it even hotter. just wait and see, it will be a huge success. Who doesn’t want to see cowboys fucking??
Doo October 26th, 2008 at 7:31 AM
I think Ms. Lucas fart film has more appeal than this.
Did they cut-out the Mason Wyler rape scene?
Joseph October 26th, 2008 at 9:59 AM
ChicagoCub is totally correct. Part of the reason that bareback/amateur vids are doing so well is that it’s just sex–no stupid plot, no embarrassing acting.
I haven’t bought a porn DVD in years; I can get it online, and go directly to the sex. I don’t want to see that extraneous stuff, and I most certainly don’t want to see guys getting their throats slit after having sex.
Marc October 26th, 2008 at 10:06 AM
Sorry, Cub disagree completely. Most porn is lazy, unimaginative and utterly boring. The fact studios charge the outrageous prices (anything over $49) for the vapid junk they put out is outrageous. A good plot, costumes, dialogue can enhance not detract from porn – we think in terms of our fantasies with plots, don’t we?
I give Raging Stallion or any studio credit for going beyond the usual throwaway movies that I often see highlighted on this site.
That said, I don’t know whether the juxtapositioning of gay sex and graphic violence mixes so well. It doesnt do much for my woodie to watch a hot guy have his throat slashed in the next scene. Still, I gotta give points for trying something different.
Eduardo October 26th, 2008 at 3:27 PM
RS equals violence, ‘men’ who don’t kiss because it’s sissy, fucking without emotion= sex mechanics and bad mechanics at that, stupid ah’s and oh’s, pain for them is enjoyment….to this we’ve come. YET, YET they do have some hot studs there…and i do like some plot or story but not this kind of trash…re-think ur policy guys
ChicagoCub October 26th, 2008 at 4:01 PM
I stand by my comment – they really need better directors who know how to shoot great porn where you can see the performers have hot sex. Worry less about the set dressing.
T-Bird October 26th, 2008 at 4:38 PM
I think this looks good…
sides porn has a little something for everyone.
latebrosus October 27th, 2008 at 4:57 AM
Re: @Marc…yeah, the juxtaposition of rather graphic violence and hot sex, at least for me, interferes with main point of porn: getting off.
That said, the earnestness of the trailer interests me in seeing a version without the porn. If you can believe that.
TJ October 27th, 2008 at 3:31 PM
It looks like a cool movie but when I want to see a western with graphic violence I’ll rent “There Will be Blood” starring Daniel Day Lewis.
Max October 27th, 2008 at 3:38 PM
Who the hell buys porn anymore? no me!…people rent copy or download…lol!
Jae October 28th, 2008 at 5:35 AM
OK, what’s the point? I’ll stick with plain porn.
Jake October 28th, 2008 at 10:37 AM
Looks like a piece of shit. I understand studios wanting to do something a bit different, but this looks like a total waste of time. They can’t act, the plot sounds laughable, and it just makes you think what’s the point?
I agree with the posters saying that what people want from porn is hot sex with hot guys, filmed well.
Stupid thing is this will still likely sell well and just encourage more of the same. The major studios of the gay porn industry need a reality check.
El Cid October 28th, 2008 at 11:30 AM
I still buy porn, copying is not always that easy and succesful: bad quality, bronzing etc. BUT i only buy when i think it’s good i.e. after i rented the thing. This movie is a rent only just to see two of my fav’s in action
Scott Campbell October 29th, 2008 at 9:04 AM
This movie is loaded full of hot sex and not some typical pretty-boy cowboy movie where the so called “cowboy” smells horse shit and goes “eeew I need a break” WE put a lot of sweat, blood & tears into this movie. The acting and working conditions of this movie were the hardest part. The sex was the hottest most natural I’ve ever had making a movie. Congrats RSS!
Peter October 30th, 2008 at 2:49 AM
ChicagoCub has just said everything that I have been saying to myself for the last five years. I thought I was the only one.
Porn has got too pretentious. too much editing, too many close ups, too much concern about sets and locations and too many queens both in front and behind the camera.
Lets get back to basics and basics in porn means gonzo. Why are no American gay porn companies making gonzo?Raging Stallion had to import its gonzo line from Europe. Why didn’t it make its own? Could it be because all those long takes mean keeping your dick hard for longer periods than most US gay porn actors can manage ?

German Sausage October 30th, 2008 at 3:04 PM
I won’t buy RSS movies because most of the time their men don’t kiss. i justed rented the drifter and while it has some hot guys (eg the threesome with damios rios) the filming of the sex is sooo irritating. Just see the trio with rios to see what i mean. I got nauseatic from it and when the men do kiss the camera moves to a microscopic close up of the fucking, then it goes there and there and there but NEVER where it ought to be and never for enough time to enjoy it.
Uh-Oh October 30th, 2008 at 4:08 PM
The violence doesn’t offend me.
The acting, however, does.
andrenio November 11th, 2008 at 2:20 AM
At least it seems to have argument and dialogues, I’m so fed up and bored with modern gay porn being so lacking in them…
P Hopper November 16th, 2008 at 3:16 PM
After seeing the trailer for this film all I can say is, wow porn sure has come a long way from grainy 16 mm with no socially redeeming quality. Here’s a film shot in high quality digital video on location with action ( with and without clothes) and actual dialogue. What a concept. In fact this is such a concept that mainstream film uses these devices. It’s called storytelling.
As for the criticism about the violence in ‘To The Last Manâ€, movies have long glamorized it with sexual undertones. From Dracula to James Bond ( Daniel Craig’s naked torture scene in “Casino Royale†hello?). The legitimate complaint here is the lack of context. Using violence for violence sake or shock value doesn’t serve the viewer or the story.
It’s about time porn moved beyond harmless visual stimuli for the horn daddies- guys who just want to drop their pants and get off. Forget them, there’s plenty of dreck out there for them.
There are new audiences out there (40% women and couples- gay and straight) with sophisticated taste and expect better quality in their entertainment. The porn business has to evolve like any other film genre to reflect the change if they want to survive and make money. Many pornsters, like professional wrestlers, are frustrated performers who want to see emotion and drama in their work.
How long can any of us put up with mindless sex? Real arousal happens between your ears not between your legs. If you’re hungry and just need to eat, get fast food. If you want to enjoy your food, then have a well cooked meal.
Rick November 17th, 2008 at 1:14 AM
Blechh! What a major turnoff! I have no doubt this will big failure in the U.S. (European reaction may be another story. Past American attempts at explicitly, intensely dark drama in gayporn have actually fared better there.)
As for the argument of whether there should be a story or instead straight-to-the-sex, I prefer a happy medium — a few minutes dedicated to a simple non-pretentious story (preferably lighthearted), and in particular an attempt to show some bond or chemistry make the sex that follows all the hotter. We sure don’t need Chi Chi type laughable fake intensity where the guys posture and stare at each other. And Michael Lucas…well, don’t even get me started. And Treasure Island obnoxiously (and ironically) acts as if sex is (non-vioelently) dark and (ironically) a matter of life or death. Ick.
One studio that really GETS it is BelAmi. Playful, bright, light build up, plenty of romance mixed with down ‘n dirty sex.
One director that’s really under-rated in his ability to get just the right mix of story, relationship building, playfulness, intensity, cinematography and editing is the Czech Republic’s Vlado Iresch. (Particularly unusual considering that a lot of his stuff is bareback.) Sure, much of the non-porn parts are formulaic, simplistic and sometimes silly, but they flow nicely and have great visual appeal (sometimes including beautiful scenery).
Also, I believe porn should have a nice MIX of long, medium and close-up shots. (But don’t go crazy with over-editing. BelAmi actually does a POOR job on this count during cum scenes, with dizzying cuts from one shot to another seconds apart. Robert Boggs at their affiliated studio AYOR is even guiltier on this count;I have to take a dramamine before I watch one of his cum scenes.
OK, this turned into a ramble, but I expect (and hope) that violent Raging Stallion epic will bomb. Wouldn’t it have to be super-successful to pay off with that budget? I agree the producers are probably just bored and want to try something new. If it (unexpectedly) turns out that this DOES pay off for them, then of course they should continue down the same path. But if they do, I hope websites keep the previews from rolling just because I enter and affirm I want to see explicit SEX — not explicit violence!
(Sorry, not proofed. And, somewhat hypocritically, not edited either!)

Haven’t you heard that RSS has launched a “Straight For Pay†Line which is full of gay actors doing women??? How fucked-up is that!
I really hope RSS will be bankrupted soon!
