Joe Oppedisano Signs On For Steve Cruz / Mustang Project

I was psyched to see that Joe Oppedisano will be shooting all the still photography on Steve Cruz’s upcoming Mustang film Blue Movie, which begins shooting this weekend.
Like Greg Thompson, Joe’s fashion background (he shot Erik Rhodes for Loehmann’s ) comes through in his work. As a result, his photos don’t end up looking like the typical overly lit, super-glossy porno pics.

Those are wonderful photos. Their subjects aren’t bad either.
Joe is one of the few photographers who captures the RAW SEXUALITY of the subject. His photos of Steve Cruz are the best I’ve seen of Steve. Can’t wait to see the stills for “Blue Movie.”
I own Joe’s book Testosterone (even got it autographed) didn’t know he had a new one and with Steve Cruz on cover I gotta have it!
Joe has used an alternate photo of the guy with the broom, the cigarette he’s smoking is being held by his foreskin, one of the hottest photos I’ve ever seen. I can’t remember where I saw it.

Check out the camera angles. It looks like Joe spends a lot of time on his knees in front of smoking hot naked dudes with big dicks. Not a bad way to make a liveing; I’m jealous.

I believe that, as a performer, steve is still exclusive with RS, but as a director, he has a separate deal w/ falcon. He’s also on a sabbatical from performing, so it may be a moot point.
