Pay for Gay: Jake Lyons’ $54,160 Escort Ad
A judge in Orlando ordered former Corbin Fisher model Jake Lyons to pay the porn site $54,160 for using their photos on his gay escort profile. Lyons promptly made his a gay face and announced that he was filing for bankruptcy. Corbin Fisher had sued Lyons in January for $1,000,000 over copyright violations.
Like most gay porn models. 20-year Lyons doesn’t receive residuals from shoots (well, not monetary ones at least), so no amount of our frantic masturbating will help him settle his debts. However, with his $300 an hour escort rate, we figure Lyons can settle his debts with only 191 hours of what we like to think of as gay “community service.”

What complete assholes to sue the guy. Why didn’t they just contact the site to take the pictures/profile down and contact the guy to say “please use other pictures”????
They are pics of the guy. He wasn’t just using them to decorate some for-pay site he’d created.
“Legitimate” models use all sorts of pics of themselves to show what they’ve done, who they are. It’s called “look books,” “rate cards,” etc., etc.

I kinda agrre with J, they do seem to have negative issues with dealing with gay men.
Fact of the matter is this is a violation of copyright laws. Contract law states that the breach of contract means compensation up to and equal to that of the monetary damages. His contract stated exactly what was the actor was entitled to. Clearly the judge saw that he breached his contract to Corbin Fisher. The judge acts as an enforcer of the law not some anti-gay vigilante. I believe that many of you think CF and other studious are out to get their models (regardless of their sexuality) but what you fail to see is that these studios care about maintaining their image and making money. I feel bad about the law suit against Mr. Lyons but he breached contract and he must face the consequences.
@mentor2dementors- It seems that you think that just because something is in a contract, means that it is fair and just. He may have breached his contract but that doesn’t mean that it was appropriate for CF to sue Jake Lyons. Corbin Fisher sued him because they saw a quick and easy way to make money. If Corbin Fisher was so worried about their name being ruined then why haven’t they taken down the videos on the cf website that he’s featured in?
What an unbelievable twit spouting stuff about copyright law and contracts. Have any of us really seen the court filings from either party, or the original contract?
And it’s very unlikely that $54,160.00 is anything like any monetary harm done to CorbinFisher because of some pictures on an escort site.
I would think that it’s very unlikely that the victim here, Jake Lyons, had the money to hire competent legal representation. Either he had inadequate lawyers, or he simply didn’t turn up in court and the judge granted a default judgment.
Real representation in court can easily run up to $10,000.00, even $20,000.00. And who says he had the $1,000.00 (at least) that most good law firms would demand as an initial retainer before even representing him?
