Connor Kline Joins Growing List of Gay Porn Stars Turned Fashion Models

Although sadly no longer doing porn, Connor Kline is managing to keep himself busy. Like many retired gay porn stars before him, he can now call himself a fashion model, as he’s the face of the GODDESS Clothing Summer 2014 collection.

GODDESS is the brainchild of recent fashion school graduate David Sifert. Like his popular blog Bears I’m Jealous Of, David’s line GODDESS pays homage to the beefy, masculine form while sort of turning it on its head at the same time. I sat down with him to find out how he hooked up with Connor as well as get some more insight into his new label. Connor Kline becomes a fashion model GayPornBlog: Why did you pick Connor to be the face of your new line?

David: I chose to work with Connor because he has such a great look that fit so well with my new collection! The collection is called BEAUTIFUL BRO and Connor’s handsome, all-American look is just what I wanted to help get the message of the collection across.

What is the message of BEAUTIFUL BRO?

I liked the way “Beautiful Bro” sounded and “Bros” are something that people haven’t explored before in fashion. People don’t like bros, but I think they’re cool. I think it’s subversive to play with the notion of celebrating something that people don’t really like.

Connor Kline becomes a fashion model What was it like shooting with Connor Kline?

Connor was great to shoot with. He is so sweet and professional and every shot turned out so great. It is easy to see why he has been so successful in the past and I’d love to work with him again in the future. gay porn star Connor Kline Is this Connor’s first foray into fashion modeling?

Connor has done some underwear modeling before but as far as I know, the GODDESS collection is his first time modeling for a fashion label. He is definitely a natural though so I wouldn’t be surprised to see him modeling for more designers in the future. connor_kline_fahsion_model_2 What is your definition of a “Bro”?

Let’s see how I can answer that … it’s about masculine men … guys who aren’t necessarily chauvinistic but are brash and do what they like. I also like the creepy incest undertone of it. Will I get in trouble for saying that? (laughs) Connor Kline becomes a fashion model Not at all! It’s always been a popular theme in gay porn. Can you describe some of the pieces?

This season I have a bomber jacket printed with some art I did with a bling print. I did some graphic and image tees. I included a lot of prints and patterns and colors, sticking mainly to primary colors and black and white. I tried to keep it super-wearable so it can fit into a lot of different people’s wardrobes. The collection is unisex so girls or guys could wear it.

Can you tell us a more about the GODDESS label as a whole?

GODDESS is a designer streetwear label that is all about inclusion and subversion. Some pieces are inspired by gay subculture but at the same time they’re not intended for any specific audience so I think anyone can find something from GODDESS that suits their unique personality.

If you had to pick one piece from your collection, which one do you think GayPornBlog readers would like best?

…And clearly ‘Fashion’ is in the eye of the beholder, or the opinion of the creator…

They got the permission to use all of the Turkish Oil wrestlers images on those shirts?

It’s hard to take someone seriously when they use out-of-focus images on their website. Although, I’m not sure that perfect pictures would help. For a laugh, take a look their Fall 2013 collection on the website.

I’m torn as to which look is my favorite: either the silver Capri pants with the “Queen Baby” crop top and panty hose over the head (like a bank robber) or the black slip dress with tiara and sequin shoes.

Oh, both of those outfits are for men.

In fashion, nothing is meant to be taken that seriously right now: http://www.jeremyscott.com/shop/rescue-me-slash-sleeve-sweatshirt/

The fact that other designers are doing similar things doesn’t change my opinion that it’s utterly ridiculous. Charging $350 for a hoodie makes it even more asinine.

Hey, if you want to buy a dress and wear it, that’s great. It wouldn’t bother me, at all.

I worked at Neiman Marcus in the couture department, and I found the things women paid the insane amount of money for there absolutely ridiculous. A black T-shirt with a rottweiler ready to bite you sold out fast for a whopping $600 only because Givenchy, or maybe Dior, made it.

I love Connor, but those shorts/skirts(skorts?) look neither comfortable nor flattering.

Oh I agree, Connor’s body language and demeanor is so stoic and stiff, he really looks out of sorts. I suppose it’s what the photographer was going for. A waste of a hot body IMO, but to each his own.

I love Connor Kline and all, but he left porn when he felt that he wasn’t good enough physically for the industry. If he thinks that ppl were too judgmental on bodies in porn, well I hate to break it to you bro, but the modeling industry is FAR worse.

My thoughts exactly. I’m glad someone remembers what he said even though I don’t think that was the reason why he left

Some fashion is better than others. Kline makes it look about as good as it possibly can. Still looks ridiculous tho.

Awful clothes they highlight the tat he never should have gotten. The sad thing about porn is that it doesn’t really leave guys with marketable skills other than maybe personal training (selling classes to people who don’t want them) or something fleeting like this. the lucky guys had a plan and ideas for using porn earnings or maybe exposure to behind the scenes tech skills.

You took the words out of my mouth about porn and the skills thing. Except I might describe those referenced in your last sentence as savvy rather than lucky. :)
