Brent Corrigan: The Gay Porn Blog Interview (Pt. 1)
Brent Corrigan: Where to start? By the time he turned 20 (last week), he’d changed his name three times (once against his will), starred in one of the most high-profile productions of 2006 as well as one of the (allegedly) best-selling bareback movies of all time (at age 17), almost shut down the gay porn industry, fucked Erik Rhodes, held a fundraiser for himself, got entangled in an extremely complicated legal dispute with Cobra Video and landed in jail (for underage drinking at his 20th birthday party, of all places).
Judging from this firestorm of controversy that seems to surround this young guy-a-licious young firebrand with the ass of a god, you might think he cunningly courts scandal, but after sitting down with him for quite some time (he doesn’t really seen to have an off switch), I got the opposite feeling: He’s just trying to do his thing despite having made some bad decisions early on. (Before you judge, try and remember all the great decisions you made at 17.)
Despite his age, he’s already one of the most intriguing gay porn stars working today.
Sign? Scorpio and proud to be.
Cock Size? 7.5″
Top/Bottom? Versatile bottom…Best way for fans to get in touch with you?
Through the “e-mail Brent” links on my blog.
Last non-porn day job:
I was a temp. I did a few file clerk and receptionist jobs. It was pathetic.
What gets your dick hard?
Describe your perfect man.
He takes care of himself. honest. There’s a lot going on upstairs. He can hold a conversation with almost anyone, needs to be able to relate to almost anyone.
Favorite non-porn sex scene:
The sex scene in Eyes Wide Shut pushed the envelope as far as they can go, and that’s intriguing to me.
Most prized possession:
I’m not a material kind of person. This might fuel Cobra to come back to me even faster, but I got a car through my contract with them and it signifies something to show for the work I’ve done. I think I’m going to sell that piece of shit and take the money I made from [the Velvet Mafia shoot] and buy a new one. It’s a bad omen. It reeks of Cobra.
I’m afraid of pandemics and disease outbreaks.
What pisses you off so badly that you can’t speak?
Politics and President Bush and the fact that the older I get, I realize this isn’t a democracy. They’re fucking bullshitting us.
Strangest thing you’ve stuck up your ass:
Before cock, I used random bottles. Those damn lips cause some serious damage. Oh, I made the mistake of putting it it up there without taking the top off. That was the dumbest thing I ever put up my ass. Before I ever learned!
Sex act you’ve never tried:
Goes without saying, but golden showers or skat. I’d be open to golden showers, but not in the mouth. I’ve not tried a lot of role-playing or bondage but only if the person knew what they were doing.
Favorite book/TV show/movie:
Don’t watch a lot of TV, but Comedy Central if I do, because we all need a little more humor in our lives. I love to read but run out of titles all the time. If anyone has any good reads, send them my way.
In your fridge, you’ll always find ___
There’s always milk, and something that hydrates, like water or Gatorade.
Does Brent Corrigan have a middle name?
I’ve beeen picking up a few indie projects and small roles and going by “B. Paul Corrigan.”
You’re a really compelling fuck on screen, which when coupled with how young you are sort of blows most people’s minds. How’d you get so good at it?
I was 16 years old, and it was just before I moved to Southern California. I only got into it because my boyfriend at the time was doing it and I needed the money. At first, the reviews were bad, but they challenged me to do a better job.
So a pushy boyfriend made you take the plunge?
Family had something to do with it. My family was dysfunctional, and when I moved to SoCal with my mom, she was distracted. My father had problems in his life and I pretty much fell off the Richter scale of their lives. My dad wasn’t there day-to-day and my mother couldn’t direct her own life. So Jake (the boyfriend) came along and he was nothing but a bad influence. He immersed me in a lifestyle that heralded the adult industry. And this was amateur! We were living a hard lifestyle and I knew I had to figure out a way to get out from under my mother. and I knew that the money would be a way. I can’t claim I’m vulnerable. My reasons for continuing are different. I can see the response I get from people — I’d be a fool to walk away from the attention. We need to find a niche, even if it changes. Everyone needs to find theirs. This is mine and I enjoy it.
What specifically do you enjoy?
Who doesn’t enjoy sex? I’m a Scorpio, and we’re known for a sexual magnetism that emanates from our being and i’m good at it. Anyone can do porn but not that many people are really fucking good at it. Knowing I’m good at it has been a recent occurance. When I was with Cobra, I was kept under lock and key. I was their dirty secret.
Did you set out to be famous?
I don’t want to be famous. I want to be known for being good at what I do, but I don’t want stardom. I was just talking about attention and how a lot of stars become addicted to it and it tweaks them. I don’t want to see myself getting like that. People full of themselves make me sick. If I ever change I really hope someone would slap the shit out me. I don’t want to become what I can’t stand. I just want to be known for being good at what I do.
